“Venting” and using the excuse of being a verbal processor is such a scam.. Talk to God about it, period, end of sentence.
He will be able to help you navigate those situations better than any other. Trust. This switch, using discipline with your tongue, is life altering in the best ways.
The practice will start to seep into other areas, like your thoughts, teaching you to sift through your thoughts with scripture upon impulse.
That alone has CRUSHED so many daily anxieties and fears for me, and that allows me to practice guarding the peace I have come to steward.
It will also encourage ACTION over meditation on whatever it is you’re feeling the need to talk about.
When you’ve been told to be quiet, not silent, but quiet… You are inspired to show yourself within behavior, decisions, and actions you take daily. I shouldn’t have to tell you I love Jesus. Just watch me (That is my prayer and a constant goal, to look more like Him).
The kingdom of heaven was designed to break forth and advance. Let only scripture, words of encouragement, worship and prayer flow out from you. Let no idle (talk) advance. That you might move forward in action with the strength and courage of Joshua and Caleb.
